ABOUT MONMOUTH ACADEMY

Monmouth Academy is a four-year public high school with an enrollment of 185 students in grades 9-12. Founded in 1803, the Academy served as a private school until 1976. Today students living in Monmouth and North Monmouth comprise over 95% of the total enrollment. M.A. is located approximately 15 miles southwest of Augusta in central Maine’s Kennebec County.

In July, 2009, Monmouth Academy became a member of the Kennebec Intra-District Schools (KIDS) Regional School Unit (RSU) 2, which joined the towns of Dresden, Farmingdale, Hallowell, and Monmouth.
