Welcome Maria Brown, Our Incoming Hall-Dale Middle School Principal
Kennebec Intra-District Schools is pleased to welcome Maria Brown as our incoming Hall-Dale Middle School Principal.
Maria, a dedicated educator with two decades of experience, embarked on her teaching journey in 2001 at Leonard Middle School in Old Town. Throughout her career, she had the privilege of serving at various educational institutions, including Mattanawcook Academy, Ellsworth High School, and Cony Middle/High School, where she devoted the final nine years of her teaching career. Transitioning into administration, Mrs. Brown humbly accepted the role of Assistant Principal at Mount View High School within RSU 3 for the 2021/2022 academic year. The subsequent year, she became the Principal at Mount View Middle School.
Her educational background reflects Maria's ongoing commitment to learning and growth. With a Bachelor of Music in Music Education as her foundation (2001), she pursued further studies, earning a Master of Music in 2003 from the University of Maine. Additionally, recognizing the importance of educational leadership, in 2022 Mrs. Brown earned a Master of Science in Educational Leadership from Thomas College. These opportunities for growth have shaped her approach to teaching and leadership, allowing her to better serve her students and colleagues.
Throughout her journey, Maria remains deeply grateful for the opportunities she has had to positively impact the lives of students. She approaches each day with humility, understanding that there is always more to learn and ways to improve. It is through this humble mindset that Mrs. Brown continues to strive for excellence in her role as an educator and administrator.
Welcome to our learning community, Maria!
