Greetings Mustangs!
Prom - 2023 has come to pass. It was well attended and (despite the rainy weather), students made the best of it and had a great time. A special thanks to Ms. Littlefield (the Prom advisor) and to the following staff members who assisted with the decorating, supervision, and/or clean up: Ms. Darrell, Ms. Huckey, Ms. Alonso, Ms. Hasch, and Mr. Bell.
Our Seniors only have 8 school days remaining! The last academic day for Seniors is Thursday (06/01). Seniors should be ready to turn in their laptops, chargers, charging blocks, and carrying cases on 06/01 and 06/02. Seniors are asked to refer to the Senior informational letter that went out about a month or so ago that outlines everything they need to know about graduation week activities and expectations. Any questions, please ask!
All other students have 15 school days remaining (and up to 18 school days if they need additional time to complete a class; make-up a final(s); or to go for a “4” in any class). June 13th is the last regular academic day for students in grades 9 - 11. As I shared in a previous communication, any student who has not completed/passed a class will have until 06/18 to do so. We are in the process of planning for a possible summer school option. More information about that will be coming your way the week of 06/05. Stay tuned!

Any student who earned an F, S, or T as an eligibility rating in any class also received an email from the administration letting them know what they are responsible for between now and the next check (scheduled for 05/31). The eligibility report on 05/17 was based on academic performance from 05/03 - 05/16. If you have any questions, please connect with your teacher(s) directly.
Civil Rights Team: Our school is part of the Maine Civil Rights Team Project (CRTP) whose mission is to increase the safety of elementary, middle, and high school students by reducing bias-motivated behaviors and harassment in our schools. ALL students are invited and encouraged to be part of this team! For more information, please connect with Ms. Darrell and/or Mr. Shain.
Say NO to Bullying! Bullying is NEVER OK, and has NO place at MA. If you or someone you know is experiencing any type of bullying or harassment (directly or indirectly), please let a teacher, staff member, or administrator know immediately. We take great pride in maintaining a school environment in which ALL students and staff can feel safe and secure. As it’s been said before, “If you ignore it, you approve it.” Please join me in making our school a bully-free zone. Thank you!
